The cutest gift box ever (advent #15 & #16)
I like to make the gift of homemade jewelry to my friends, and I needed a really cute jewelry box. Also, I wanted for a while to try something really delicate and fun with you.
This little, tiny dollhouse has just enough room on the lower level for a pair of earrings or a light necklace.
It is so cute it's a gift by itself...I made two, one for a (lucky) friend, and another for me, to keep my rings on my desk , when I remove them to work.
This is not a craft for big, clumsy fingers. I ended up gluing the tiny cat with the help of two pins! But there is different levels : making the lining of the box is fairly easy, I added a simple cut out chair if doing the 3d one sounds too difficult ( it is actually fairly simple) , the real difficulty being adding the cat and the tiny tiny cushion on the green chair. But it's real fun, and you will be, like me, amazed that you did it. I can't wait to see the face of my friend when she opens it!
Of course, first of all you will need a matchbox! I bought 30 white empty ones on Amazon, but you might use grocery bought ones if you are lucky enough to find some. More on the instructions here:

Oh je me suis amusée sur ce projet là! Il est un peu délicat, mais l'effet est garanti!
J'aime beaucoup les maisons de poupées, depuis toujours ( vous vous en doutiez). Depuis que je suis adulte, j'ai une espèce de manie : il faut qu'elles aient une utilité. Je craque pour une maison-lampe, une maison-étagère , une maison-boite à thé, j'en ai une boite de kleenex, et une autre pour mes gommes...Celle-ci est une maison boite à petit bijou, parfaite pour offrir un petit collier ou des boucles d'oreilles faites maison. J'en ai fait deux, une pour offrir, une autre pour garder mes bagues quand je dessine!

Cette boite est inspirée de la maison ou je vivais, à Montmartre , il y a longtemps... Elle est du même style , mais 5 fois plus petite qu'un très beau jouet que j'ai fait pour Mango, et que vous trouverez ici : ma maison de poupées.
Si vous ne la connaissez pas, allez voir, c'est un de mes plus beaux projets, une maison en carton solide, avec des meubles à monter, le tout pas trop cher et très joli...
