My house is a mess. I'm trying to get organized but it's just too difficult sometimes. So I carefully put up a few beautiful areas for my eyes to rest from clutter. One day there will be only beautiful things for the eye to enjoy. For the moment we are far from it.
I'm fond of cute objects and my idea of a home is "still life" everywhere. It has two purposes : it's cute to see and (almost) mess proof. Because it's already messy !
A few days ago Miss Trop sent me a picture " I think you will like it!" (how kind of you miss Trop). Actually I love it so much I already own it. It's this print from Kozyndan. It's called "Uprising " and you can buy it here. It's been almost 3 years I love this picture and I think I will never get bored of it. There is everything I like. There is hints of an Hokusai print so famous in France that it's part of our culture now ( Monet owned a print, lucky him). And there's bunnies of course!
Every year I change the picture's background. Today I picked some vintage Belgium wallpaper a dear friend sent me from Lille in France. It's like a cut and paste of an old ladie's room, I 'm fond of it. It goes perfectly with my fake flowers, my beloved toy dog from Yoshitomo Nara and this wood bag from Enid Collins of Texas I hunted for days on Ebay after discovering the artist while I was making research for this game characters.
Nothing was really expensive, and I love my display!
