Chair Blueprints

I’m going through my miniature archives these days and have found that a lot of my miniature references and objects are difficult to find, if not lost in the great sea of dead internet stuff. So I decided to bubble out my favourite art.
Let’s start with 2 miniature chairs! These are the blueprints to make 1:12 copies of nineteenth-century Swedish chairs that the famous Swedish Furniture company re-created in 1:1
Use those for your dollhouse and roomboxes. You can download and print the images for personal use only. You can resell the chairs you’ll make, but can’t re-share the blueprints. As a courtesy to my creativity, be kind with my pictures and let them be!

I already made multiple versions of these chairs, in balsa wood and 3D printed. They are a delight to make, but on top of it, they add a touch of realism to any scene.

Looking for the Original inspiration, I found some similar chairs in historical Swedish homes, and especially in Karin and Carl Larsson’s beautiful home. Karin Larsson was an amazing artist who poured all her creativity into her home, helped by her husband, who was a painter. You can check the wonderful result here, and still visit the house, which is now a museum.

I painted floral designs on one of the chairs, with a teeny tiny brush. It can be frustrating, and you can get the same effect much more easily with …nail stickers!

So give it a try with these blueprints and explanations. Make sure you print them at 100% to respect the scale. Double it if you want 1:6 chairs.
